Don't Forget These!
We'll continue covering keywords as we go through this tutorial. However, if you are reading the tutorial in sequence, take a note of these tips.
- Location, Location, Location. For many sites this is the most important defining keyword.
- Don't forget misspellings! Many of you will have sites that contain keywords which are commonly misspelled. Include these misspellings in areas that are not visible to the viewer.
- Use tense to your advantage. Many spiders can read the root of a word (i.e. some spiders will read "boat" from the words "boats" and "boating").
- Don't forget that some things are known by more than one word or phrase. Look for areas where you can use use both. (i.e. DHTML and Dynamic HTML).
